Shipping Times

Shipping times are the guidelines set our by the courier companies that we use and are dependent on your postcode.

We dispatch orders Monday-Friday. These are shipped on an over-night service and you will receive a notification either by  text or email to advice once it has left our warehouse.

Delivery to Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane Metro is within 24- 48 hrs of dispatch from our warehouse.

Delivery to Western Australia, Northern Queensland, Tasmania, Northern Territory can take 3-5 working days.

Working days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Busy periods such as Christmas can result in longer processing times. Please email with any questions around shipping during peak times.  We will always announce this in advance via the website or weekly newsletters.


Important notes about Shipping

Delivery Hours – Australia Post deliver Monday to Saturday and delivery times will vary according to their schedule, therefore we cannot guarantee specific delivery times. The courier does not call you before a delivery. We cannot arrange for delivery outside of the courier hours.  Your tracking code and link in your email is the best method to control your delivery. If your phone number is entered during checkout a SMS confirmation will also be sent to the provided number and updates on your order will automatically be sent accordingly.


Delivery Address – We realise that most deliveries will be to residential addresses and that you won’t always be home to receive the goods, therefore we recommend that you either get them delivered to a work address or consider having the order shipped to a friend or neighbour. If you are not available to accept your order at the time of delivery, your order may be either returned to the courier depot or sent to your local post office for collection. Australia Post should leave you a notice to inform you where your parcel is. We cannot take responsibilities for any delays with your order if you are not at the address to accept delivery at the first attempt.


Alcohol Deliveries – You must be 18 years of age or over to order any alcohol from this site. All sales or conveyances of any liquor offered on this site are performed by licensed independent wineries or liquor merchants who under no circumstances sell or deliver to persons under 18 years of age. Wines will be delivered by Australian Post and goods must be signed for on delivery by a person 18 years of age or over. Should no-one be available at the Shipping address able to fulfil this requirement the wine will be taken back to the nearest post office and made available for a pick-up. A notification of this will be left in your letterbox. Once again pickup must be made by a person of 18 years of age or over and ID must be provided or the parcel will not be released.


Meat & Dairy Deliveries – Currently we are only offering delivery on our meat and dairy products within a 9km radius of our warehouse in Botany. On the product page we have a feature where you are able to check this radius with your postcode and clarify if you are eligible for delivery. This delivery service only runs on a Friday and after the order has been placed and checked you will receive a call to confirm the delivery time. * Please note there must be someone home to accept the delivery and the customer needs to be accountable and contactable at the time of the drop. In the instance that the driver has arrived at the shipping address on the confirmed date and no one is home or answering the contact number provided, the order will be left at the provided shipping address. 

Unfortunately, Taste Ireland accepts no liability for the loss or deterioration of any goods once they have been delivered in accordance with our terms and conditions. Taste Ireland will not be held liable for any financial or physical damages of any kind. Taste Ireland will not replace or provide a refund for any products ordered by the customer by mistake. Customers must notify Taste Ireland if you have received an incorrect/ missing  product within 24 hours of delivery by phone on 1300 4 IRISH. Missing products will be refunded to the customer via a store credit which can be applied to customers next order. 


Click & Collect Service – With our click and collect service, you can order your goodies online and then pick it up from our Botany warehouse Mon-Fri 8- 4pm. During the final checkout process there is an option to choose click and collect. Orders are usually ready for pick up within 24 hours after the order is placed. However if it needs to be fast tracked please call 1300 4 IRISH and we will do our best. Once the order is ready you will get a notification and then you have within 7 working days to pick up your order. If the order is not picked up it will go back into stock and a store credit will be issued to the same dollar value as the order unless the stock has gone out of date.


Box Size – Dimension and cubic weights of each product are automatically calculated for shipping purposes. If your order exceeds the cubic dimensions (50 x 48 x 70) of the standard packing shipping box it will automatically add another packing box at the checkout page. An additional shipping price will be automatically calculated at the checkout page and added to the order. Please note each and every product vary in cubic weight, dimension and size.



We take ample care when packaging your goods and ensure they will be delivered on time.  It is your responsibility to ensure you are present to receive the goods or if it is a gift, that the recipient is present to receive the goods. Please be mindful when ordering during the hotter months, as the heat can alter the freshness of the goods. This also applies when ordering chocolate products.  We do hold back dispatch during extreme heat, 35 degrees +

Irish chocolate has a high dairy content and can perish faster if left in the heat.

Any out of stock items in gift hampers can be replaced with products of equal or greater value without prior notice.

All parcels will be left at your door unless otherwise instructed by you. Taste Ireland cannot be held responsible for goods lost or stolen once the courier has delivered your parcel. When ordering we encourage you to use the “delivery instructions” field to detail your specific instructions to ensure your parcel is safely delivered.

It is important to remember that we are importing the products from Ireland and our stock levels can be subject to delays due to our suppliers, shipping delays or customs delays.
