Shipping Times

Shipping times are the guidelines set our by the courier companies that we use and are dependant on your postcode. 

We dispatch orders on Monday and Thursday only. During busy periods we will have extra dispatch days.

Delivery to Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane Metro is usually within 24hrs of dispatch from our warehouse.
Delivery to South Australia is usually within 48-72 hours.
Delivery to Western Australia, Northern Queensland, Tasmania, Northern Territory can take 5-7 working days. 

Working days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
You will receive an email with your order tracking once your order has been dispatched.
All this will also depend on the current stock levels & busy periods such as Christmas, Paddy's Day, Easter etc. will have different or longer processing times. Please call with any questions regarding dispatch for busy times.

Important notes about Shipping

Delivery HoursThe contracted courier (Australia Post) we use deliver Monday to Friday 9 to 5 and delivery times will vary according to their schedule, therefore we can not guarantee that specific delivery times can be met. The courier cannot call you before a delivery. We can text you your order is dispatched, please ensure you request in the additional comment on your order. We cannot arrange for delivery outside of the courier hours. 

Delivery Address - We realise that most deliveries will be to residential addresses and that you won't always be home to receive the goods, therefore we reccommend that you either get them delivered to a work address or consider having the order shipped to a friend or neighbour. If you are not available to accept your order at the time of delivery, your order will be either returned to the courier depot or sent to your local post office for collection. Our courier company will leave you a notice to inform you where your parcel is. We cannot take responsibilities for any delays with your order if you are not at the address to accept delivery.  

Authority to Leave the Parcel - alternatively you can choose 'Shipping with authority to leave' at the checkout, giving our couriers permission to leave your parcel at the shipping address without receiving a signature on delivery. If you wish to select this option please leave delivery instructions so the delivery driver will know exactly where to leave your parcel i.e "Please leave under the picnic table to the left of the door." Without specific instructions it may be difficult for the driver to know where to leave your parcel and if he feels it is not safe to leave it out in the open, he may choose to return the parcel to the depot. Please note that it is within the driver's rights to decide to bring the parcel back to the depot if he deems it unsafe to leave, or if he is unable to follow your instructions (i.e If you want your parcel left behind a glass door but he cannot gain access to this door). 

Perishable Goods - Perishable items can only be dispatched on Monday. This is to ensure the items are delivered to the best freshness as possible. All Meat products must be consumed within 3 days of receiving the parcel and cannot be frozen. All perishable goods are shipped from frozen in a cooler bag with a gel pack.

We cannot be held responsible for any items spoiled if the recipient is not available when parcel is being delivered. We also cannot be held responsible for spoiled products if incorrect shipping address is provided.

We cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by items lost or damaged by our contracted courier (Australia Post) however we will replace the items as soon as possible.

You must be 18 years of age or over to order any alcohol from this site. All sales or conveyances of any liquor offered on this site are performed by licensed independent wineries or liquor merchants who under no circumstances sell or deliver to persons under 18 years of age. Wines will be delivered by Australian Air Express and goods must be signed for on delivery by a person 18 years of age or over. Should no-one be available at the Shipping address able to fulfill this requirement the wine will be taken back to the nearest post office and made available for a pick-up. A notification of this will be left in your letterbox. Once again pickup must be made by a person of 18 years of age or over and ID must be provided or the parcel will not be released.


Disclaimer

We take ample care when packaging perishable goods and ensure they will be delivered on time.  It is your responsibility to ensure you are present to receive the goods or if it is a gift, that the recipient is present to receive the goods. If there is nobody to accept the parcel there is nothing we can do about the perishable products that may spoil as a result. Please be mindful when ordering during the hotter months, as the heat can alter the freshness of the goods. This also applies when ordering chocolate products. It is a good idea to include a gel ice pack with your chocolate order to keep it cool during transit.

Any out of stock items in gift hampers can be replaced with products of equal or greater value without prior notice.  

All parcels will be left at your door unless otherwise instructed by you. Taste Ireland cannot be held responsible for goods lost or stolen once the courier has delivered your parcel. When ordering we encourage you to use the "delivery instructions" field to detail your specific instructions to ensure your parcel is safely delivered.

It is important to remember that we are importing the products from Ireland and our stock levels can be subject to delays due to our suppliers, shipping delays or customs delays. 

New Zealand customers

Delivery cost for New Zealand is $50.00 per order, this is the true cost of delivery from Sydney to New Zealand with tracking through Australia Post. There is also a Hamper Section for New Zealand. Please note that there are weight restrictions for delivery to NZ and therefore we are unable to send particular products that weigh over 500g individually. There are restrictions regarding soft drinks, flour and alcohol. Customer will be contacted if items exceed weight limit and/or any issues in relation to orders containing soft drinks, flour or alcohol.
